The Doctors Trial occurred from December 9, 1946 to August 20, 1947 in Nuremberg, Germany. An American military tribunal tried 23 doctors and administrators for the euthanasia during World War II. The doctors had permanently damaged the victims' bodies, physically and mentally, without the consent of the victims. After the observation of 85 witness testimonies and about 15,000 document submissions, sixteen of the doctors were found guilty, and seven were given death sentences. They were executed on June 2, 1948.
